was struck and killed in santa rosa. it happened last night near the intersection of west avenue and meeklin court. investigators say the 45-year- old woman was looking for her lost chihuahua with her boyfriend when she stepped into traffic. she was hit by two cars and tied. the chp says both drivers -- died. the chp says both drivers are cooperating with investigators. >>> the family is in mourning after news they so desperately did not want to hear. the body of their 10-month-old girl was found yesterday in monterey county. janine de la vega is in the newsroom to let us know what you found out about the suspect and why the family is questioning law enforcement. janine? >> we looked into court records and found out that the suspect, 47-year-old jesus espinoza, has had previous run-ins with police, arrested for possession of drugs, driving under the ininfluence and violating his -- influence and violating his probation. the family he allegedly killed is trying to come to grips with what's happened. 10-month-old angelle jenisis negron's family was holding onto hope she would be found safe. bu

the superintendent attended the rosa, parks school it was a wonderful event where the kids had t-shirts with rosa parks on it and a wonderful celebration and i want to thank the lake shore elementary community for including me on their mass and literacy night. >> commissioner mendoza? >> so i attended the kinsy collection opening at malad which was amazing and it really demonstrated the great work of our african american community. and there, the collection is going to be at moad and so the museum in san francisco from february 8th through may the 19th. and it is telling the story about african american history and culture from 1632 to present. and their selection included both art and historical treasures that have been collected over the years and we are actually working with one of our partners to see, about getting all of our middle school students down to see the collection. and then, last night, we joined tom, the state superintendent for the teacher of the year and the national teacher candidate is from oakland. and unified school district. and it was a wonderful event, really highlighting

in santa rosa. 48 in san rafael. 50 in san jose. 49 in concord and also 50 in livermore. here is the thing, current temperatures right now in the low 40s in the north and off to the east bay, a wind 10 to 20 miles an hour making a lot of the bay area feel like the 30s this hour, even the 37 in cupertino, a slight windchill making it feel like 32. the live hd camera network. there's the cloud top buildup. we have some towering cumulus clouds in the south bay today as a sign of instability. we take you off to the north and what you notice is we do have some clearing up above but plenty of low-level instability here across san francisco. and as we also take you into downtown looks good tonight, but bring that jacket and be on the look out or fom rogue showers that once again may develop through the evening hours. back to the weather boards. enough instability through 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 to pop showers up along the coastline. by tomorrow morning we are expecting mainly clear conditions and that is going to set us up for an extremely cold start for wednesday morning. interior valleys in the upper

and santa rosa. notice the huge counterclockwise swivel. that's a big upper level area of low pressure, plenty of rain and mountain snowfall. the snow level will drop down to 3,000 feet. now on the other side of the low, our source of air is coming down from canada. so the rain is gone. but the chill is going to stick around. you will get some sunshine tomorrow into the mid-50s but it won't feel that mild outside because the breeze coming down from the north and northwest. that flow of air coming from the north is not going away until sunday at the earliest so we'll have cold mornings and below normal afternoons which is still 60 which is not that bad compared to other parts of the country but we'll be below normal for the next several days. cold mornings, chilly, breezy afternoons but the rain which we could use some more rainfall, i don't see any more rainfall until saturday now that this rainfall is moving out. highs tomorrow about 8 degrees below average for san jose, 5 degrees below normal for concord. that equates to 57 degrees. milpitas 56 to
